Alas, the birthday blog post itself is even more late than the questionnaire itself! It truly wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t double late for my own birthday celebration as well. But wait! Its the 5th day since my birthday, so I guess it cancels out cause 5 is a lucky number? With that out of the way, lets recollect my awesome birthday bash together!

Its the dawn of a new day.. my eyes crack open and groggily turn towards the clock. 4:50 am….. not yet. Just a couple minutes until the time is just right. What time you may ask? Well on this special day in the fifth of November, something very special had occurred. That special event in question?
Well! It’s none other than—

Oh and I guess my birthday too, but forget about that, today marks the 5th anniversary of November 5th 2020, AKA the worst day on twitter in my entire life probably.
And so I rolled back to sleep and waited a couple more minutes until the clock struck 5AM before I could “wake up” for real— 5 is a lucky number after all, not so lucky for Castiel probably who died forever and ever and ever for being a homo on this day though, sucks for him!
Now realistically, birthdays would be a wonderful date to reminisce about how far I’ve come and spend the time meaningfully going through memories and old journals.. NAH! I got up at 5AM on the dot, looked at the moon that was still up at that hour, talked to some friends and had some laughs, AND THEN IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK TO BED AND SLEPT FOR ANOTHER 12 HOURS!!!!!
Was it intentional to wake up exactly on 5PM on the dot which makes it a double 5 for todays birthday? Surprisingly not! For my mother dearest called me awake and said “We’re gonna eat something tasty where do you want to go?”
Honestly I didn’t want anything too special for the time being, we had Jolibee prior and I was very content with having a peach mango pie for my troubles, but it would be mean of me to turn down an opportunity for the whole family to eat something tasty so I opted for a bar & grill that had really good calamari. Unfortunately the place was packed for the evening so we went to another restaurant that had a similar menu to the initial spot, sans the calamari. Funnily enough my dad implored me to order take out calamari from the initial restaurant but when I called them to place my order….. when as it turns out, they no longer sell calamari! What a bummer! But oh well, at least we weren’t seated at that restaurant and forced to find out the hard way.
The food was pretty good, I had a fish fry with mashed potatoes, but oh man. The mashed potatoes actually? They were HEAVENLY. Perfectly smooth, creamy, and rich— a warm buttery flavour permeated the palate when you lay the mash flat on your tongue. The obvious answer to their heavenly potatoes tasting so good is a shit ton of salt and cream, but I honestly wouldn’t mind just buying the mashed potatoes as a treat in the future.
Although my dad humoured the idea of getting drinks since I was a certified adult in freedom units, regrettably my birthday was smack dab right in the middle of a random Wednesday so everyone had work the following day and we had no designated driver. Of course, we could always drink at home, but whats the point of drinking alcohol if you can’t hide the gross taste with a convoluted and fruity smoothie mix!
And besides, it would suck to be tipsy and drowsy before I even blew the candles and ate my homemade cheesecake!
Drumroll please…..

Ta-da!!!!! A matcha cheesecake shaped to be a classic image! A reminder of what’s important in life!
Plus two uninvited guests that were the only ones aside from my family to show up to the birthday bash….. whatever.
The cake was really delicious! My sister helped me bake it a day prior to my birthday and we had a bunch of spare chocolate to create 2 additional back up bones, and some funny guys…… sans included.

But of course, my personal birthday gift year was themed accordingly….. Behold! The GREAT PAPYRUS in the flesh!

He’s made of an incredibly soft minky material that makes him pleasant to the touch and he’s incredibly squishy! I love snuggling him to my chest and and pressing my face against his cranium! I got him for a bargain with the added bonus of the free shipping campaign Suragaya was hosting! But ahhh, the GREAT PAPYRUS is absolutely priceless, and his dorky smile fills me with great joy~!!!!!
Of course I couldn’t help but dress him up in silly fashion, he is seriously, truly the cutest!!!!!

It’s none other than my friends!! My wonderful, whimsy, charming, lively, awesome friends who have wished me birthday wishes and congratulated me on being born! I can’t thank you all enough for the kind messages and best wishes. Thank you truly, from the bottom of my heart for making this years birthday less lonely!!!!! And also a thank you to my sister who summoned all her friends to draw Papyrus because she couldn’t finish her birthday gift in time. GO LOOK AT THEM NOW NOW NOW!!!!!

ANDDDD a super super special mention to Rin’s wonderful gift which was the first thing I saw the moment I booted up the PC for the morning! LOOK AT HIM!!!!!!!!! HE’S ALL DRESSED AND FRILLY FOR THE OCCASION WAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN’T. I CAN’T TAKE THIS. HE’S TOO. FREAKING. CUTE. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
