At long last, Velvetlori.cc is finally live!
My mind itches to write anything aside from strings from code and my retinas burn from a week of consecutive coding. There is still much to be done, and many pages are inaccessible, but I decided enough was enough, and that the current theme is presentable enough to hold a blog post. Screw it. Make the damn post already!

You may or may not recognise me from my previous site “VELVETLORI” on neocities, and I plan on making a separate post entirely that detail my reasons for switching over to a different host, but tl;dr neocities is incredibly limited as a hosting service and I never utilised the features that hosting on neocities would benefit from, such as the activity page and account feed since I’ve disabled both to prevent traffic on my site.
(Its not that I don’t want people to view my page at all, I just simply prefer people to discover my page via webrings or fanlistings that share the same interests as mine.)
Anyhow, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve last posted— the last update on my site being the 24th of February! But aside from IRL responsibilities keeping me busy, I became increasingly unmotivated to work on my site due to the slog of coding and designing pages. To preface, I absolutely hate coding and I would much prefer to spend my time creating content rather than ramming my head against code to fix stupid bugs that is as simple as an extra </div> at the end of the html.

Coding woes aside, here are some things that I’ve been up to in my 5 months of absence:
– I graduated college
– I went to disney world
– I went on a road trip
– I got a new flip phone
So yeah, I’ve been pretty busy! I’m glad that things started to calm down so I could focus on my hobbies again.
